ORD 55-45 REGULATIONS FOR CONSTRUCTION AND INSTALLATION AN ORDI~J~rCE establishing rules and regulations for
the construction and installation, alteration and repair
of plumbing and drainage ~lithln the Town of Winslow, Wash-
ington, and providing for the licensing of journeyman
plumbers and master plumbers.
WEREAS, it is deemed necessary to the health, safety and welfare
of the citizens of the Town of Winslow, Washington to establish a plumbing
co&e and the licensing of journeyman plumbers and master plumbers, and
WEREAS, it is deemed fitting and adequate that the code and
rules and regulations pertaining~ to plumbin~ and drainage as adopted by
the County of Kit sap be adopted to apply to the Tow~ of Winslow;
IIOW, THF~ORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the COLLUCil of the Tow~ of
Winslow, Wsshin~-~ton, ss follows:
1. There is hereby adopted by reference Kit sap County Ordinance
No. 3 and Ordinance No. 4, together with Amendments and Rules and Regula-
tions and termed the "Plumbing Code of Kit sap County, Washington", three
copies of which code in book form have been filed for use and examination
by the public in the office of the Town Clerk.
2. Any amendment or addition, where printed and filed with the
Town Clerk and spproved by majority vote of the Town Council at regular
meeting, shall be considered and accepted as amendments of and additions
to such code without the necessity of amending this Ordinance.
3- Referanee in Ordinance No. 3 of Zone One shall apply to the
area incorporated within the boundaries of the Town of Winslow, and any
reference to Zone T~o shall be inapplicable.
i~. Ordinance No. 4 providing examination and licensing of
journeyman plumbers and the licensing, registration and bonding of master
plumbers shall apply within the To~,n limits of Winslow, WashiD~ton, except
that a valid license as issued by the County of Kit sap shall be recog-
nized and ~cc-epted as prtma f~.cia evidence for issuance of applicable
license by the Town of Winslow on payment of fee to the Town as provided
herein and the filing of surety bond where provided.
5. Application for license, as provided in Ordinance No. 4,
applic~.ble onl.]r to the Town of Winslow, shall be subject to all provi-
sions of Ordinance No. 4 and the Kit sap County Examining Beard shall act
as slgent for the To~n and issuance of license shall be determined on the
recomr~end~tions o~~ the Examin~g Board.
6. All applications for permits and requests for inspection of
work, a~ provided in Ordin~.nce No. 3 shall be n~de to the Kit sap County
Pl~Ebing Inspector who will ~ct as an a~ent of the Town of Winslow in the
performance of these duties.
