AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE DECLARING AN ~Et~RGENCY AND AUTHORIZING
EXPENDrrUEES TO PROVE~ THEREFORE
WHEREAS, extensions to and construction of storm sewers
considered to be in the interest of the public welfare were not included
in the budget for 1959, and
WHEREAS, the expendituresI for capital improvements to the water
system exceeded the amounts provided in the budget for 1959, and
WHEREAS, such expenditures could not be reasonably anticipated
at the time of establishing the 1959 budget, and
WHEREAS, the actual revenue for the year exceeded the anti-
cipated receipts commensurate to the expenditures thereof:
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORIItINED by the Council of +~he Town of
Winslow, Washington
That an emergency exists~,
That payment of dmly authorized and approved expenditures not
previously budgeted shall be made from the Street and Water Funds~
That the sums of not to exceed $500.00 and $700.00 are hereby
authorized for expenditure from the Street and Water Funds respectively
in excess of the duly established 1959 Budget to meet the emergency
herein declared.
Passed by unanimous vote of th~ Town Council and approved
by its Mayor this 19th day of January 1960.
