ORD 99-70 AMENDMENT TO ORD 99-43 WHICH ESTABLISHED A PARK ADVISORY COMMITTEEORDINANCE NO. 99-70 AN ORDINANCE of the City of Bainbridge Island, Washington, consisting of a technical amendment to Ordinance 99-43 which established a Park Advisory Committee; and amending Chapter 2.32 to the Bainbridge Island Municipal Code. WHEREAS, the city has determined that parks are essential elements in enhancing the quality of life of its citizens; and ~qtEREAS, the city approved Ordinance 99-43 to utilize the talent and energy of private citizens in helping to achieve good planning and utilization of its parks; and WHEREAS, BIMC 2.32.020.A created by Ordinance 99-43 contained a significant typographicaI error which the city council now wishes to correct, now, therefore, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAINBRIDGE ISLAND, WASHINGTON, DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1 Paragraph A of Chapter 2.32.020 of the Bainbridge Island Municipal Code is amended to read as follows: 2.32.020 Park Advisory Committee created - Membership, appointment, compensation and term A There is created a Park Advisory Committee for the city, hereinaPter referred to as the Committee. The Committee shall consist of five voting members who shall be appointed by the mayor and confirmed by vote of the city council. The members shall not be ofticers or employees of the City and shall be residents of the City. Additionally, a member of city and at lea~t three of the members shall be residents of the City. Additionally, a member of the City Council shall serve as an ex-officio, non-voting member of the Committee Section 2. This ordinance shall take eft~ct and be in tbrce five days froln and after its passage, approval, publication and posting as required by law.
