RES 53-04 ACCEPTANCE OF SCHOOL SEWER LINE
A R~SOLUTIOAT of the Town Council of the Town of Winslow,
Washington, providing for the acceptance of a sewer line
as offered by the Bainbridge Island School Board in their
letter of December 17, 192, and both the temporary and
permanent disposal of sewage from the present school site
as long as the school population does not exceed 2,000.
h'HER,FAS, the Bainbridge Island School Board by letter dated
December 17, 19K2 offers to construct a sewer line from the present
High School and adjoining grade school to a disposal plant site to be
designated by the Town, and
WHP~REAS, said offer provides for conveyance by deed to the
Town of. Winslow of such. completed seretir lire, and
WHERraAS, said offer stipulates that if the Town accepts the
co^~pleted sewer line it shall operate and maintain it permanent ly, and
Whereas, said offer further stipulates that if the Town
accepts the completed sewer line it shall accept and dispose of all
sewage fron the present school site as long as the school population
does not exceed 2,000;
1QOF~, THEREP'ORp~, BE IT RPSQL9ED by the Town Council of the
Town of Winslow, Washington, as follows;
That the Town of Winslow will, upon completion of the said
sewer line from the school to line of the present septic tank located
on Q~overnment Lot ~, Section 26, To~,mship 2S Aorth, Range 2 East,
accept the existing sewer lines as established in said Ofbvernment Lot
4 and the projected sewer line connecting said septic tank with the
school property.
That the Town shall maintain the same continuously and from
date of completion of the present system to establish a permanent
sewage disposal or digester unit at such site as may be determined by
the Engineer for the Town of Winslow.
That the Town will assume the obligation of-the franchises
or easements granted to the School Board by the property owners for
the purpose of establishing said sewer line.
