RES 53-34 PURCHASE OF LAND FOR WELL SITE A RESOL~ION providing for the purchase of land enlarging
the area of Well Site No. 2 and No. 3-
WEFARFAS, the State Health Department has advised of the need for
the Town to acquire additional land to protect the puri~y of its wells No.
2 and No. 3, and
W~2AS, the State Health Department has established specified
distances surrounding these wells necessary to control drainage and con-
tamination, and
WHEREAS, such property, in an unimproved state, is presently
avs~tlable, and
~RFAS, it is considered advantageous and' necessary to obtain
the s~dditional land described by the State Health Department at this time,
and
WHEREAS, such action is considered necessary for the pro~ection
of the TownIs water system;
NOW, T~aLFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the 0ouncil of the Town of
Winslow, Washington, as follows:
That the following described property be purchased from Hockett
& Olsen Bros., Inc. at a price not to exceed $800.00:
A l~t of the Northeast Quarter of the Southwest Quarter of Section 27,
Township 25 North, Range 2 East W.M. beginning at the center of Section
27 thence westerly along the north line of the said Northeast Quarter of
the Southwest Quarter a distance of 150 feet to the true point of beginn-
ing; thence 64.5 feet to the northwest corner of the tract coaveyed by
Maggie Nelson to Edmund Stafford as recorded in Volume 343 of Deeds, page
498, records of Kit sap County, Washington; thence southerly at right
angles with the north line of said Northeast Qu~_rter of the Southwest

Quarter a distance of 170 feet; thence north 80 east a distance of 64.5
feet; more or less, to a point 170 feet south of the true point of be-
ginning; thence north to the true point of beginning.
Less existing roads and subject to an easement for roadway purposes along
the southerly 50 feet thereof.
That the Mayor and Clerk are hereby authorized to consnmmate
the purchase from money available in the Water Construction Fund.
