RES 56-04 SEWER EXTENTION ~aSOLUTION
A ~ESOLUTZON accepting revised plans and specifica-
tions for sewer extension, issuing call for bids, and
authorizing the Councilss Water and Sewer Cowen!ttee to
implement construction of the extension and place same
in operation at the earliest practicable date.
WBERFAS, the Ton of Winelow, having heretofore rejected all
bids submitted for the purposes set forth in its Or~in~ce 1~o. A~7 because
costs quoted were, in the opinion of the Ton Cotuacil, excessive. still
desires to complete the sewer extension in the most economic .n__n~a pract-
icable fa_-hion;
WI~S, it is deemed advisable for the purposes of implementing
Ordinance No. At9 to revise plans and specifications and to provide an
alternate method of bidding and construction.
NOW, THEREFORE, 3E IT EESOLVED by the Ton Council of the Town
of Winslow, Washingtoni
That plans and specifications as revised by civil engineer George
Roars be accepted.
That the Town call for separate bids as follows:
Item No. 1 - Ditching, laying and backfilling for 8-inch gravity
sewer line in accordance with profile drawing on file at the
Town Clerk~s office. Winslow. Washington.
Item No. 2 - l~Arnish 819 feet of 6-inch class 100 asbestos-
cement pipe with fluid coupling. ~id must state price Job,
Seattle. Wash. and time of delivery.
Item Eo. 3 - Furnish 1,700 feet of i-inch bell t~pe concrete
sewer pipe, 1.66~ concrete manhol~ blocks and one 8-foot section
6-foot drain, precast reinforced concrete pipe. 3id must state
unit price delivered at job site and time of delivery.
Item No. ~ - Two sewage lift pumps, capacity 100 g.p.m. at 86
foot head, to include float switches, starter boxes and one
alternator, Chicago 1~ Co. model VC8-LLO~7 or equivalent.
One steel cover for 6 foot diameter well with pump and
openings provided. 3ids must state price delivered to Winslow
.and time of delivery.
That if the bids are acceptable that the Water and Sewer Committee
is hereby authorized to take any and all steps to complete construction
and place the extension in operation at the earliest practicable date,
the ~ayor is hereby authorize~ to execute for the Town such contracts as
are reasonable and necessary therefor,
