A RESOLUTION of the Town Council of the
Town of Winslow, Washington, declaring its
intention to improve Winslow Way by blacktop
paving, installing storm sewers, resetting
water mains, installing sidewalks and moving
and reinstailing power poles and telephone
poles, and to create a local improvement dis-
trict to assess the cost and expense of said~
improvement against the properties specially
Oenefited thereby; and notifying all persons
who may desire to object to said improvement
to appear and present their objections at a
meeting of the Town Council to be held on
July/ 1957.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF
WINSLOW, WASHINGTON, as follows:
3e~tlOn 1. That it is the intention of the
Town Council of the Town of Winslow, Washington, to order
the following improvement to be made on Winslow Way in the
Town of Winslow, to wit:
(1) The existing blacktop will be searifled and re-
moved. There will be minor regrading to attain a more
uniform grade and cross section area. Ballast will be
hauled in as needed to provide a sound and adequately
drained foundation for the 2-inch blacktop surface.
(2) Existing storm sewers will be utilized
where practicable with catch basins and cross drains
installed to service the south side of the street.
The existing and undersized 6-inch drain will be
abandoned and the main line extended to run south on
Madison Street to discharge into the gulch.
(3) All water meters will be reset to sidewalk
location and provision made for future water connections
without undue damage to paving and sidewalks.
(4) Six-foot width sidewalks will be built on
the north side of the public right-of-way from Madison
Street east to State Highway 21A, except existing
sidewalk across the ravine will remain. Sidewalks on
the south side of Winslow Way will be built only between
Madison and Erickson Streets.
(5) Power poles will be moved to sidewalk near street
edge and respaced for lights which will consist of
16 mercury vapor lights installed on power poles with
16-foot brackets.
(6) Telephone poles will be moved to the south
alley with service on the north side provided by Joint
occupancy on power poles.
Section 2. That the entire cost and expense of said
improvement shall be borne by and assessed against the property
specially bonefired by such improvement to be included in a
local improvement district to be established and to be known as
"Local Improvement District No. / ", embracing, as near as
may be, all property specially bonefired by such improvement,
the boundaries of such local improvement district being described
as follows:
Starting at a point ~89' 29' 30" E 20 feet from the
northwest comer of Government Lot 4, Section
Township 25 North, Range 2 ~st, W.M.; thence N
32' 40" E 170 feet; thence S 89°29' BO" E 1585.21 feet;
thence S 0e 35' E 170 feet; thence N 89e 29' 30" W 1.40
feet; thence S 0e 30' 30" W 30 feet; thence S ~5
E 72.50 feet; thence 149.47 feet along a curve to the
left, having a radius of 209.04 feet, and a central
angle of tie 00' 10"; thence N 89e 29' 30" W 65B.04
feet; thence, N O° B2' 40" E 20 feet; thence N 89°
29' 30" W 1054.92 feet; thence N Oe 32' 40" E 190 feet
to the point of beginning, King County, Washington,
being in general the area from Madison Street to State
Highway 21A and extending 170 feet North and approximately
200 feet South of the government lot line along
Winslow Way
Section 3. That all persons who may desire to
object to the improvement herein mentior~d are hereby notified
to appear and present such objections at a meeting of the Town
at 8:00 o'clock p.m. on the ...~ ~ day of July, 1957, which
time and place are hereby fixed for hearing all matters relat-
ing to said proposed improvement and all objections thereto
and for determining the method of payment for said improvement.
Section 4. That George Roars, Consulting Engineer
of Poulsbo, Washington, the Town's Engineer, is hereby directed
to submit to the Town Council at or prior to said /~. day
of July, 1957, all data and information required by law to
be submitted.

The foregoing Resolution was ADOPTED by the Town
Council of the Town of Winslow, Washington, at a regular
meeting thereof, this 18th day of June, 1957.
