RES 66-05 TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICE MANUALRESOLUTION
WHEREAS, in the interest of public safety and to facilitate the orderly move-
ment of traffic, it is highly desirable that uniform traffic control devices
be installed on streets and highways,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, That the cdty~ town) of ~,'/~/o~/
does hereby endorse the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices for Streets
and Highways, dated June, 1961, that has been prepared by the National Joint
Cocnnittee on Uniform Traffic Control Devices, in principle as a guide and to
provide uniformity of traffic control devices within the city, to be accom-
plished in approximately five years, recognizing that the decision to use a
particular device at a particular location must be made on the basis of a
proper engineering study at the location.
