~ARING WARRANTS.
WHF~VAq, it is provided ~ statute that the Mayor shall draw
a warrant upon the Treasurer in payment of demands against the Town when
such has been audited by the Council and allowed, and
~, the personal business of the E~Iayor now serving demands
periodic extended absences from the Town, and
.WHEREAS., certain payments, including payroll require payment
on established schedules.
NOWTHEREFORE BE ERESOLVED, that it is considered necessary
and proper to provide for the function of the Town Governmentby establish-
ing and authorizing the sigDAture of an alternate Council member on T~mm
warrants when required, due to absen~ of the ~Iayor.
Councilman Richard C. Adair, acting as Chail~man of the Council's
Auditing Comsittee and member of the Council's Finance Committee, is
designated to sign the no~tnterest bearing warrants issued by the Town
during those perodswhen the I~ayor is absent and his signature thereon is
hereby authorized.
