RES 69-03 COUNSEL FOR AUTHORIZATION OF BONDSA RESOLUTION of the Town of Winslow, Washington retaining counsel for certain services in connection with the authorization, issuance and sale of limited levy general obligation bonds of the Town in the principal amount of $25,000. WHEREAS, it is deemed necessary and advisable that the Town of Winslow issue and sell its limited tax levy general obligation bonds in the amount of $25,000 to provide funds to pay part of the cost of acquiring and constructing a combination town hall and fire station and to construct an equipment shed; and WHEREAS, it is further deemed necessary and advisable that bond counsel experienced in such matters be retained to draw the resolutions, notices and other documents necessary for the authorization, issuance and sale of said bonds and to give their opinion as to the validity thereof at the time of their sale; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Winslow, Washington, as follows: That Preston, Thorgrimson, Horowitz, Starin & Ellis, attorneys at law, of Seattle, Washington, be and they are hereby retained to perform the services above set forth, and as compensation therefor the Town agrees to pay them the sum of Two Hundred Fifty Dollars ($250.00), and in addition thereto agrees to reimburse them for any out-of-pocket expenses such as long distance telephone tolls which they may incur in the performance of said services. In addition, the Town agrees to furnish said counsel at their office in Seattle, Washington, with a complete certified transcript of all proceedings taken in the matter of the issuance of said bonds. | In the event that the Town sells only part of said bonds at any one sale, then the fee shall be as later agreed upon between the Town ~d said counsel, and shall be in accordance with fees usually charged for the amount of bonds so sold.
