A RESOLUTION AMENDING RESOLUTION 75 - 3 SECTION 6, A
ESTABLISHING LEGAL HOLIDAYS FOR EMPLOYEES.
WHEREAS, the Legal Holidays for Municipalities are
mandatory according to Attorney General's Opinion,
dated May 13, 1976, and that Cities must comply with
the provisions of Chapter 24, Laws of 1975-76 2nd
Executive Session concerning holidays,
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Winslow, Washington as follows:
HOLIDAYS
A. The following days shall be observed as holidays:

New Year's Day 7.
Lincoln's Birthday 8.
Washington's Birthday 9.
Memorial Day 10.
Independence Day *11.
Labor Day
Veterans' Day
Thanksgiving Day
The Day After Thanksgiving Day
Christmas Day
One Floating Holiday
The Floating Holiday shall be the Employee's Birth Date
or if the Employee is not able to take their Birth Date the
Department Head may grant another date uDon written notice of
not less than 14 Calendar Days and if the Holiday will not pre,-
vent the City from providing continued public service. The
Floating Holiday must be taken during the Calendar Year or
entitlement to the day will lapse, except when an Employee
has requested a Personal Holiday and the request has been denied.
I1EREBY REPEALING Section 6, A of Resolution 75 3.
Passed by the Council of the City of Winslow, Washington
and approved by its Mayor this 19th Day of July, 1976.
