RES 86-08 REAL ESTATE EXCISE TAXRESOLUTION NO. 86-08 A RESOLUTION AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 82-11, PRIORITIZING IMPROVEMENTS FOR CITY STREETS, AND DESIGNATING USE OF REAL ESTATE EXCISE TAX. WHEREAS, Real Estate Excise Tax imposed by Ordinance No. 82-24 limits the use of those taxes to capital improvements; and WHEREAS, Resolution No. 82-11, Section lc, 2c, earmarks Real Estate Excise Tax funds for an improvement completed by the Department of Transportation; and WHEREAS, the City of Winslow has decided to construct sidewalks to enhance pedestrain safety in the City of Winslow; THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WINSLOW, WASHINGTON HEREBY RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: 1. The funds collected from the one fourth of one percent (.25%) Real Estate Excise Tax imposed by Ordinance No. 82-24, will be used for sidewalks to be constructed at the following locations: A. Olympic Drive - East side; ferry terminal to City Hall parking lot exit B. Olympic Drive - West side; Harbour View Drive to Winslow Way C. Winslow Way E. - South side; SR305 to Bjune Drive D. Ferncliff Avenue - East side; Winslow Way to Wing Point Way E. Winslow Way W. - South side; Madison Avenue to Finch Place 2. Additional funds collected from the one fourth of one percent (.25%) Real Estate Excise Tax imposed by Ordinance No. 82-24, will be used for such other capital projects as are approved by the Winslow City Council. 3. That Section lc and 2c of Resolution No. 82-11 are hereby repealed. RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WINSLOW, WASHINGTON THIS 6th DAY OF February , 1986.
