A RESOLUTION TO ADOPT THE CITY OF WINSLOW
PERSONNEL POLICY AS TO THE TERMINATION OF
BENEFITS DURING LEAVE WITHOUT PAY STATUS
AND AS TO THE LEGAL HOLIDAYS OBSERVED BY
~HE CITY, AND TO SO AMEND THE PERSONNEL
POLICY MANUAL.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Winslow has
determined it to be in the public interest to adopt a
clearer policy for its employees in determining the legal
holidays observed and for the termination of benefits during
leave without pay status, and
WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to amend the city personnel
policies to provide for such changes, and
WHEREAS, the federal and state laws permit the adoption of
such changes,
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the Council of the City
of Winslow, Washington, as follows:
In Personnel Manual, Article IV: Compensation and
Benefits, in Section 19 A only, the following words
are inserted in lieu of the present wording:
Section 19. Holidays
A. The legal h61idays for ~he city s~ll be the dates
specified'~ ~he eleven (11) state legal holidays. The clerk
will post the dates for these h61idays, a~d will provide each
department head with a list of these holidays.
In Personnel MaDual, Article IV: Compensation and
Benefits, in Section 18 C only, the following words
are inserted in lieu of the present wording in
subsection C:
Section 18 C.
Benefits shall be governed by the provisions of
Section 12 G.
In Personnel Manual, Article IV: Compensation and
Benefits, in Section 12, there is a new subsection
added entitled 12 G which shall read in its entirety:
G. Leave without pay employees:
Shall receive no benefits. No holidays, annual leave
or sick leave or longevity benefits will accrue. Such
employees may be eligible for COBRA benefits.
PASSED BY THE COUNCIL of the City of Winslow, Washington this
