and authorizing the expenditure of funds therefor.
W~PJ~S, the Town's public water system acquired during the year
1963 an unprecedented number of new connections, and
~,EREA8, the nun~er of comnections, the percentage of demand for
connections in sizes above normal, and the cost of required mat-
erial an6 equipment was far in excess of anticipated outlay,and
t~;]I[EAS, receipts from connection charges was $2705.00 over the
anticipated revenue ~rom this source, and
k'Ji-X]~AS, such revenues an5 expenditures could not reasonably be
anticipated at the ti.ae the budget was established,
NOW THj~EFORE, BL~ IT ORDAiNED by the Council of 'the Totem of
Winslow, Washington:
'Friar an emergency exists,
That the authorized and approved expenditures be paid,
That funds are hereby appropriated in excess of the
1963 budget in the same amount as unanticipated re~-
