An emergency Ordinance declaring an emergency and
authorizing ex~nditures and funds to provide there-
fore°
V~FF_P~AS~ it is considered in the best interests of the citizens
of the To~m of Winslow that the police coverage be increased and
adequately equipped, and
V,~F~IF~S, the Town of Winslow has established a ffull time police
service, and
~[k~EAS, it has authorized the employment of personnel and the
acquisition of a patrol car, ra~io equipment and accessory equip-
ment, and
VIHEREAS, the contract police service has been terminated, thus
making the appropriations of the 196h budget inapplicable:
NO,~ THiEFORE, ~E iT ORDAtI'[ED by the Town Council of the Tomq
of Winslow, Washington as follows:
That an emergency exists.
That unexpended funds providedby the 196h budget in both
Current Expense and Parking Meter Funds for Town Marshal salaries
and expense shall be made available for the same purpose by trans-
fer to the Public Safety Fund which shall be a sub-section of the
Current Expense Fund.
That license fees as provided by Ordinance No. lh8 and de-
signated to be deposited to said Public Safety Fund augment and
increase the funds alotted by the 196h Budget for expenditures
for police service.
That such transfers and anticipated revenues during the
]nst quarter of the year 196~ vdltbe ~2~00.
T~% expenditures from the'newly established Public Safety
Fund are hereby authorized at f~2~O0. for the last quarter of ~he
year ]-96h-
That all of the above conforms to the distribution and
expenditure of funds as established in the budget for t96~.
PASSED by unanimous vote of the Tovm Council and approved
by its Mayor this'~ day of October, 196~
