RES 2000-34 AFFORDABLE HOUSINGRESOLUTION NO. 2000-34
A RESOLUTION of the City Council of the City of Bainbridge
Island, Washington, relating to affordable housing, and declaring
the intent of the City Council to approve final plat amendments
consistent with Ordinance No. 2000-40.
WHEREAS, by Ordinance No. 2000-40, passed on November 29, 2000, the City
Council authorized affordable home ownership units constructed or required to be constructed as
part of a land use application that was complete on or before September 25, 2000, to be subject
either to BIMC Chapter 18.90 or to that chapter as amended and supplemented by Ordinance
No. 2000-40; and
WHEREAS, final plats for some subdivisions that are covered by Ordinance No. 2000-
40 contain language that must be amended (altered) in order for lot owners to take advantage of
the option of Ordinance No. 2000-40; and
WHEREAS, BIMC 17.04.130 (RCW 58.17.215) provides that any person desiring a plat
alteration shall file an application with the City Council, and that the City Council, after notice
and hearing, shall deny or approve the application; now, therefore
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Bainbridge Island, Washington,
that it intends to accept applications for alteration of final plats where necessary in order to
allow the owners of lots to take advantage of the option of Ordinance No. 2000-40.
