AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING A DEPOSITCRY FOR FUNDS CF
THE TOWN CF WINSLOW, WASHINGTON POLICE COURT AND PROVIDING
FOR THE ACCOUNTING THEREfF.
HE IT ORDAII~D by the Town Council of the Town of Winslow,
Washington, as follows:
SECTION 1: A separate accounting of receipts and disbursements
by the Town of Winslow Police Court is hereby established.
SECTION 2: It shall be the responsibility of the appointed
Police Judge to deposit all moneys paid to the Court to an account in the
name of Town of Winslow, Washington, Police Court at the Bainbridge Island
Bank located in Winslow, Washington.
SECTION 3: All disbursements from the Police Court bank account
shall be by duly signed and recorded check.
SECTION 4: An approved record of all receipts and disbursements
shall be maintained in accordance with accepted accounting procedure.
SECTION 5: Funds accumulating from closed court cases shall be
transmittedby check to the Town Treasurer at frequent intervals but not
less than twice a month.
SECTION 6: Responsibility for Police Court Funds is established
by State law, therefore all checks shallbear the signature of the appointed
Police Judge, except thathe may request the Town Council to provide one
alternate authorized signature~
SECTION 7: Effective immediately authority is granted to establish
a regular checkin~ account at the Bainbridge Island Bank in the following
name:
Town of Winslow Police Court
Wilbur k~fstrom, Judge
with authorized sAgnatures, for withdrawals by check only, of Wilbur
Nystrom, Judge, ~Fred W. Nord, Clerk of the Court.
PAS~ED unanimously by the Council of the Town of Winslow,
Washington, and approved by its Mayor at a regular meeting held on the
1st day of Nobember, 1965.
