AN GRDII~A~E DECLARING AN EMERGENCY, AUTH~RYEING THE
EXPEI~DITUP~ AND PROVIDING FUNDS TNEREFGR.
WHEREAS, it is accepted by all concerned that the frost
damage to streets and roads was excessive during the past winter,
and
WHEREAS, the Town Engineer has surveyed the damage in
detail and estimated the cost of repairs, and
WHEREAS, the cost of temporary repairs to the streets
to keep them passable for traffic pending more permanent improve-
ment has required expenditures not anticipated in the present
budget, and
WHEREAS, the cost of snow removal was also excessive
and greater than the appropriation provided in the budget.
NOW THEREFORE, HE IT ORDAINED by the Tov~ Council of the
Town of Winslow, Washington:
That an emergency exists.
That appropriations therefore could not reasonably
have been anticipated at the time of establishing the 1969
Budget.
That expenditures, therefore, are hereby authorized
in the amount of $3,500.
That said funds shall be made available by an interest
bearing loan from the Current Expense Fund to the Street Fund.
That provision shall be made in the 1970 Budget for
repayment of said loan.
