An Ordinance of the Town of Winslow, Washington
adopting for the Town the classification of
Non-Charter Code City pursuant to RCW 35A.
02,030, (Laws of Washington Extraordinary
Session 1967, Chapter 119, Section 35A.02.
030) and retaining the Plan of Government
under which the Town is presently operating.
WHEREAS, the Washington State Legislature did, by
Laws of 1967, Extraordinary Session, Chapter 119, Section 35A.02.
030, provide a new system and body of laws for towns in the State
of Washington to operate under and pursuant to; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No.7~.7/.~9adopted by the
Town on the 7th day of July , 1969, the Town declared
its intention to be classified as a Non-Charter Code City and in-
tended to retain the Plan of Government under which it presently
was operating, and
WHEREAS, since the resolution was first published in
a newspaper of general circulation within the Town, ninety (90)
days have expired and no referendum has been filed as determined
by RCW 35A.29,170,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the
Town of Winslow, Washington, as follows:
That pursuant to and in accordance with RCW 35A.
02,030, (Chapter 119, Laws Extraordinary Session
1967, Section 35A.02,030), and pursuant to Resolution
No.7/7~gadopted by the Town of Winslow on the 7t~
day of July _, 1969, and published on the llth
day of July , 1969, the Council of the Town
of Winslow does hereby adopt for the Town the classifi-
cation of Non-Charter Code City, and reaffirms its
intention to retain the Plan of Government under
which it presently is operating and declares that
it will continue to operate under the Plan of
Government which it presently has.
This ordinance shall be published at least once in a
newspaper of general circulation within the Town within ten (10)
days after the effective date of its passage and shall be effective
upon its passage and publication as required by law.
1969, at a regular meeting thereof and signed by its Mayor and
authentication of its passage the same day.
