ORD 70-16 EMPLOYEE TO CLERICAL STAFFORDINANCE NO. 70-16
AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE INCREASE OF ONE
EMPLOYEE TO THE CLERICAL STAFF IN THE CITY'S
GENERAL OFFICE, ESTABLISHING SALARY AND AP-
PROPRIATING FUNDS THEREFOR.
WHEREAS, the Municipal Court of the City of Winslow
has developed a load of cases far beyond that anticipated
at the time of establishing the 1970 budget, and
WHEREAS, this expansion has demanded establishing
a more meticulous system of handling and recording of the
Court~s cases and responsibilities, and
WHEREAS, the growth of the City has developed the
water and Sewer Systems, Building Permits, Land use re-
gulations etco, which together with a new accounting system
prescribed by the State has resulted in a volume of clerical
work requiring additional clearical help, and
WHEREAS, it is considered that the necessary flexi-
bility can best be obtained by combining the Court detail
work and the increased office load;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the
City of Winslow, Washington, as follows:
THAT AN EMERGENCY in employee personnel exists
which could not be reasonably anticipated at the time of
establishing the 1970 budget.
THAT AUTHORITY is hereby granted to employ one ad-
ditional office clerk.
THAT SALARY therefor is established at $400.00 per
month.
THAT APPROPRIATION in the amount of $1600.00 is
made from money in the Current Expemse Fund not other-
wise appropriated.
THAT THIS EXPENDITURE shall be distributed to the
Court expense and general office salaries in ratio to the
hours devoted to each.
PASSED with the unanimous approval of the Council
of the City of Winslow, Washington and approved by its
Mayor this 8th day of September, 1970.
