AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 16, RULES AND
REGULATIONS, ESTABLISHING THE MINIMUM AMOUNT OF DEPOSIT FOR
THE WATER SERVICE AND RESCINDING ORDINANCE NO. 65-12.
BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Winslow,
Washington, as follows:
SECTION 1: Paragraph "b" of Section 24 of the Rules
and Regulations pertainin to Ordinance No. 16, together
with Ordinance No. 65-12 ~which amended said section), is
hereby repealed and the following substituted therefore:
(b) All meter consumers shall make a cash deposit with
the Water Department, based upon the estimate of the monthly
consumption through the meter, but in no case shall the de-
posit be less than $15.00 which deposit shall be held by the
Water Department, until the severance of the contract, and
shall be repaid to the customer after all claims against
the premises have been fully paid, provided that the Super-
intendent of Water may waive the aforesaid provision pro-
viding for deposits by consumers in the case of property
owners of the premises upon which the water is consumed.
