ORD 71-02 EMERGENCY ORDINANCEORDINANCE NO. 71 - 2
AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE DECLARING AN EMERGENCY
AND AUTHORIZING EXPENDITURE THEREFOR.
WHEREAS, with the major breakdown of the City's grader
there would be no equipment available to clear the streets of snow,
and
WHEREAS, following considerable investigation it was determined
the breakdown of the grader would require an unwarranted expenditure,
and,
WHEREAS, the weather indicated immediate action necessary to
provide snow removing equipment;
NOW THEREFORE be it ordained by the Council of the City of
Winslow as follows:
That action by the Council, as recorded in the minutes of the
meeting on November 16, 1970, to purchase a used grader is
herewith confirmed.
THAT the 1970 Budget is amended to provide for this
emergency purchase of equipment in the amount of $1,500.00,
THAT such expenditure shall be made from monies not other-
wise appropriated.
