ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE 1970 BUDGET AND
AUTHORIZING EXPENDITURES THEREOF.
WHEREAS, it was considered in the best interests of
the City to augment the Police Department and Municipal
Court expenditures, and
WHEREAS, expenditures were approved for the Police
Department for enlarged telephone dispatching service, with
an additional trunk telephone line, portable walkie/talkie
radio equipment and
WHEREAS, the demands of the Municipal Court required
the hiring of a half-time employee, and
WHEREAS, the authorized conversion of parking meters
and purchase of additional meters exceeded the budgeted
estimate by $1,000.00 and
WHEREAS, state and federal demands necessitated in-
creased engineering fees for comprehensive plans, surveys,
topography studies and appraisals.
NOW THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Council of the
City of Winslow, Washington
THAT THE 1970 Budget is amended to authorize additional
expenditures of $1,500.00 for police Department, $800 for
Municipal Court and $2,000. O0 for general government.
THAT such expenditures are from rev;enue to the
general fund not otherwise appropriated.
PASSED by the Council of this City of Winslow, Wash-
ington this 1st day of February , 1971.
