An Emergency Ordinance Declaring an
Emergency and Authorizing Expenditure
Therefor
WHEREAS, certain expenditures, which could not reasonably h~ve
been anticipated at the time of adopting the 197~ budget, are considered
justified and in the best interests of the citizens of Winslow, and
WHEREAS, the Police Department experienced a complete turnover
of personnel resulting in cash payment for earned vacations as provided
in Winslow Ordinance No. 71 - 6, and
V~HEAS, maintenance and repair costs of two police patrol cars,
including a major engine overhaul exceeded anticipated requirements
which were based on one patrol car only.
NOW THEREFOR BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Winslow,
Washington as follows:
1. That an undebatable emergency exists.
2. That an emergency appropriation is hereby made to the C. E.
Security of Persons and Property Fund in the amount of $3,100. distri-
buted to salaries and wages in the amount of $1,100. and to Police
equipment, maintenance and repair in the amount of $2,000.
3. That this appropriation shall be from increased revenue in
the O.E. Fund not anticipated at the time the 197L budget was adopted ~
