RES NO. 2018-35 AMENDING THE CITY'S FEE SCHEDULE RELATED TO LANDMARK TREESRESOLUTION NO. 2018-35
A RESOLUTION of the City of Bainbridge Island, Washington,
amending the City's fee schedule in response to recent legislative
activity of the City Council, including fees related to Ordinance No.
2018-19, and fees related to the interim official control initially
adopted under Ordinance 2018-25 related to Landmark Trees.
WHEREAS, on June 26, 2018, the City Council enacted Ordinance No. 2018-25,
adopting Chapter 16.32 BIMC, Protection of Landmark Trees, which provides a new level of
protection for larger trees; and
WHEREAS, on October 23, 2018, the City Council enacted Ordinance No. 2018-19,
which amended BIMC 18.15.010 and replaced Chapter 16.18 BIMC, Land Clearing; and
WHEREAS, the City's Fee Schedule needs to be updated to reflect fees for these new
and revised permits and processes.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAINBRIDGE
ISLAND, WASHINGTON, DO RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Section 9, Building and Planning Fees, of the City's Fee Schedule is hereby
amended as shown on the attached Exhibit A, which is hereby incorporated into this resolution
as if set forth in full.
Section 2. This resolution will take effect immediately upon passage, except that the Removal of
a Landmark Tree Permit fee, described on Exhibit A, will not take effect until five days after the
passage and publication of Ordinance No. 2018-45.
