B:i IT :' ll.'Ai-~j'XD >.Y T!{i COU/']CIi, OF THE CITY OF WINSLOWs SECTION i: OFz' iC_S r"'l r'-'~=oATED The following constitute the paid appointive offices of the City of Winslow; and the salary of each appointive officer~ and the salary or wage of eac ac.,x~inted city employee working under such api.ointed officer shall be as set by ordinance; Provided~ however, that the cumpensation for the I'~lunicipal Judge~ F'iunicioal judge .,ro-Tem, City Attorney, City [~ngineer, P ire l<arsl~al, and Buildinq Official may be set on a c~itrdct:ua[ basis at the discretion of the City Council: (a) City Cle:.-k-'rreasurer (b) City [Deputy Clerk-Treasurer (C) City Chief of Police (d) City [faintchance Forc>-man (e) Cit,' fiunicimal Judge ( f, ) City l.'iunicipal judge Pro-Tem (:]) City Attorney (h) City 16ngineer ( i ) Fire ;<arshal (j) City Building Official S£CTI<,N 2: OFFI. Cijd.; (a) The City Clerk-Treasurer shall be covered by an official bond in the sum of $10,000, with surety accen!tab!e to the Nayor. Fhe premium on said bond shall be paid by the City. (b) All other city officers and employees shall be covered by a blanket faithful performance bond in the sum of not less than $25,000, with surety acceptable to the Nayor. The premiums on said bond shall be paid by the City. 3ECi['IcI{ 3: Ei-'iPZ, CYEES, PERNANENT AND i'X<ERGEIqCY: (a) Subject to all aylicable laws and regulations, including those relating to Civil Service~ the City Council may provide for the creation, continuance, ozc deletion of any City Employee position without the necessity of an amendment to this ordinance. For the f~urposes of this section, the term City Employee means :~ny paid rn~erson on the staff of the City who is not an off icer as defined in Section 1 of this cx dinance. (b) Subject to all ap..licable laws and regulations, including those relating to Civil Service~ the Mayor ~ays. Any positions thereby created shall be n~n- renewable without the cuncurrance of a majority of the whole of the City Council. SECTION 4: PO;.,'Ei:~ ~F A= :OIIGT>'~ENT: Subject to all applicable lawl and r~l.galati. ons, including those .relating to 'Civil Service, the .u. ayor: (a) Shall have the power to appoint any qualified person to the offices enumerated in Section 1 of this ordinance, subject to confirmation by a majority of the whole membershim o~ the City Council. (b) Shall have the power to appoint any qualified Ferson to any other r~aid position created or authorized by action of the City Council.
