ORD 75-05 PARKING VIOLATION PENALTIESORDINANCE 75-5 '
AN ORDINANCE RELATING TO PENALTIES TO BE IMPOSED FOR
PARKING VIOLATIONS WITHIN THE CITY OF WINSLOW, AMENDING
SECTION 5 OF ORDINANCE NO. 128.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WINSLOW DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Section 5 of Ordinance No. 128, adopted June
1963, is hereby deemed amended as follows:
It shall be unlawful for any person to permit or allow a
vehicle to be parked overtime or improperly, as defined herein,
shall upon conviction of such an offense such person shall be
fined not more than five dollars ($5.00) for each offense,
PROVIDED, that if said fine is paid to the City of Winslow
within forty eight (48) hours after issuance of a citation
therefor, the maximum fine shall be two dollars ($2.00). A
fine shall be considered paid within forty eight (48) hours if,
within that time, said fine is either (1) delivered to the
Clerk/Treasurer, (2) placed in the United States mail, with
proper postage affixed and addressed to the City of Winslow,
P.O. Box 10100, Winslow, Washington, (3) deposited in a proper
collection box provided for such purpose by the City of ~nslow.
Section 2. This Ordinance shall take effect five (5)
days after adoption and publication as required by law.
PASSED by t~e Council of the City of Winslow and approved
by me this '4 ~ day of February, 1976.
