ORD 77-17 VACATING UNUSED STREETORDINANCE NO. 77 - ~7 ~N ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF WINSLOW, WASHINGTON, VACATING ~N UNUSED STREET RUNNING EASTERLY FROM ERICKSEN AVENUE N.E. TO SR 305, APPROXIMATELY 660 FEET NORTH OF KNECHTEL WAY N.E. WHEREAS, a petition has been filed, bearing the signatures of all abutting property owners, to vacate the existing street, situated approximately 660 Feet North of Knechtel Way N. E. and extending East from Ericksen Avenue N. E. to the West right-of-way line of SR 305, and ~HEREAS, notice of a public hearing to vacate a street was given pursuant to RCW 35.79.020, and WHEREAS, the City Council considered the matter and held a public hearing on the aforesaid petition on September 6, 1977. NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Winslow, Washingt~ do ordain as follows: The following described property, presently described as a public street but not used as such is declared vacated and as prescribed by Washington State Law, the property within the limits so vacate shall belong to the abutting property owners. The North 50.0 feet of that portion of the South half of the Northwest quarter of Section 26, Township 25 North, Range 2 East, W. M., in Kitsap County, Washington, described as follows: Beginning at a point on the North line of said subdivision, 990 feet East of the Northwest corner thereof; thence East 155 feet more or less to the Westerly right-of-way line of State Highway 305 (21~A); thence South along said Westerly right-of-way line of State Highway 305 (21-A) 660 feet more or less to the intersection with the center line of Knechtel Way N. E.; thence West along said center line of Knechtel Way N. E. 180 feet more or less; thence North 660 feet to the true point of beginning. EXCEPT the South 20.0 feet, and the West 30.0 feet thereof. EXCEPTIONS: Relinquishment of the right of access to State Highway and light, view and air under terms of deed to the State of Washington recorded under Auditor's File No. 588246.
