ORD 78-04 REQUIRING MEETINGS TO BE ELECTONICALLY RECORDED ORDINANCE 78-04
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 6 OF ORDINANCE 76-18
REQUIRING ALL MEETINGS TO BE ELECTRONICALLY RECORDED
AND ADDING SECTION 2A FORFITURE OF OFFICE.
WHEREAS, service'to the recording machine is not readily available and
WHEREAS, Ordinance 76-18 does not provide for forfeiture of office.
The City Council of the City of Winslow do ordain as follows:
SECTION 2-A FORFITURE OF OFFICE
A member appointed to the Planning Agency shall forfeit their
office, creating a vacancy if they cease to have the qualifications
prescribed for such office by law, or ordinance, or if he is connected
of a crime involving moral turpitude or an offence involving a violation
of his oath of office. A Planning Agency member shall also forfeit his
office if he fails to attend three regular meetings of the Planning
Agency within a 3 month period or fails to attend 3 consecutive meetings
without being excused by a majority vote of the Planning Agency.
SECTION 6 shall be amended to read as follows:
SECTION 6. PUBLIC RECORDS
All recommendations reports or other official matter shall be
signed by the Chairman and attested to by the Secretary who shall be
required to maintain hand written minutes of each meeting, which shall
be approved and signed at the next stated meeting. The minutes do not
need to reflect the actual discussion but only the formal actions taken
by the Planning Agency.
