ORD 78-14 IMPOUND FEESORDINANCE NO. 78 - 14
AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING NEW IMPOUND FEES AND ROOM
AND BOARD FEES FOR ANIMALS AND REPEALING SECTION 6 AND
SECTION 8 OF ORDINANCE 107.
The Winslow City Council do ordain as follows:
Section 6. Redemption of Dog. The owner of any Dog impounded
under this ordinance may redeem it within forty-eight (48) hours
from the time of impounding by paying to the impounding authority
a service charge of Ten Dollars ($10.00), together with any unpaid
license fee for said dog. An additional charge of Two Dollars ($2.00)
per day or part thereof may additionally be imposed.
If such dog is not redeemed by its owner within Forty-eight (48) hours,
at the discreation of the impounding authority, it may be held for an
additional length of time for the owner. If such dog is not redeemed
by its owner, at the discreation of the impounding authority it may
be sold to any other person or otherwised disposed of.
Section 8. Redemption of Horse, Cow, Goat or other domestic animal.
The owner of any goat may redeem it within seventy-two (72) hours from
the time of impounding by paying the impound authority a fee of
Five Dollars ($5.00) for each day or part thereof that the animal is
detained, plus and impound fee of Ten Dollars ($10.00) which shall
include care and feeding for the day impounded. An additional fee
of Ten Dollars ($10.00) shall be paid the Poundmaster for transportation
of larger animals requiring the use of special equipment for impounding.
Repealer: Section 6 and Section 8 of Ordinance 107 is hereby repealed.
