RESOLUTION NO. 2020-07
A RESOLUTION of the City Council of Bainbridge Island,
Washington, accepting a Federal Highway Administration
Grant for the Core 40 Eagle Harbor Drive Phase II Non-
Motorized Improvements Project.
WHEREAS, in 2018, the City of Bainbridge Island submitted the Core 40 Eagle
Harbor Drive Phase II Non-Motorized Improvements project to the Kitsap Regional
Coordinating Council (KRCC) for consideration for “contingency” funding in the amount
of $700,000 for project construction by a Federal Highway Administration (FHWA)
Grant; and
WHEREAS, in May 2020, the Transportation Policy Committee of KRCC
recommended funding of the construction of the Eagle Harbor Drive Phase II Non-
Motorized Improvements Project from the Kitsap County project contingency list; and
WHEREAS, on May 28, 2020 , the KRCC Executive Board recommended
that the Eagle Harbor Drive Phase II Non-Motorized Improvements project be funded
from the Contingency List in the amount of $700,000.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BAINBRIDGE ISLAND DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Acceptance of FHWA Grant. The City accepts the FHWA Grant in
the amount of $700,000 and agrees to authorize other sources of available City funds to
be used as required matching funds to complete construction of the Core 40 Eagle Harbor
Drive Phase II Non-Motorized Improvements Project.

Section 2. Effective Date. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon
passage by the City Council.
