ORD 79-05 AMENDING THE SALARY SCHEDULE ORDINANCE NO. 79-5
AN ORDIN/LNCE OF THE CITY OF WINSLO?~ A~-iENDING THE
SALARY SCHEDULE OF THE 1979 BUDGET ORDINANCE 78-39,
AND ESTABLISHING A RETIP~iS!NT PLAN FOR NO~] LEOFF
POLICE AND PR3DVIDING FA~ILY MEDICAL COVERAGE FOR
POLICE OFFICERS.
WHEREAS, salaries for all positions in the Police Department had
not been finalized at the time of adopting the 1979 budget and
WHEREAS, premium costs for family medical coverage for uniformed
police had not been included and
WHEREAS, no provision had been adopted since negotiations began
in January 1978, for a retirement plan for non Leoff police.
NOW THEREFORE, the Council of the City of Winslow do ordain
THAT, the annual salaries for the following positions be adopted
as follows:
and
Chief of Police
Patrol Officers
Police Clerk Matron
Court Clerk
$18,134.00
$14,411.00
$ 4,180.00
$ 6,271,00
THAT, the premium costs for family medical coverage will be paid
by the City for all positions of police officers and the Chief of
Police and
THAT, an authorized Retirement Plan shall be executed and is
hereby adopted to cover retirement for non Leoff officers in lieu
of the Leoff for the calendar years 1978 and 1979 and to receive
contributions from the City of Winslow at the same rates as the
Plan II Leoff schedule.
