RES 2006-07 COMMUNITY FORESTRY MANAGEMENT PLANRESOLUTION NO. 2006-07 A RESOLUTION of the City of Bainbridge Island, Washington, accepting a Community Forest Management Plan for the purposes of implementing comprehensive management of the community forest. WHEREAS, as required by the Washington State Growth Management Act, the City adopted a Comprehensive Plan on September 1, 1994, subsequently amended; WHEREAS, the Comprehensive Plan contains an Environmental Element that establishes goals and policies to preserve and enhance the community forest; and WHEREAS, in September 2001, Resolution 2001-51, established the Community Forestry Commission tasked with development of a Community Forestry Management Plan; now, therefore, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAINBRIDGE ISLAND, WASHINGTON, DO RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. The City Council accepts the attached and incorporated City of Bainbridge Island Community Forest Management Plan 2006 as a guide for long-term management of the community forest. Portions of the plan may be adopted in the future for implementation, as necessary. PASSED by the City Council this 8t" day of February, 2006. APPROVED by the Mayor this 9"' day of February, 2006.
