AN ORDINANCE of the City of Bainbridge
Island, Washington, amending the Official
Comprehensive Plan Land Use Map to change the
land use designation of a 0.8 acre parcel at 187
Ericksen Avenue N. (Tax parcel no. 262502-3-047-
2004) from Mixed Use Town Center/Ericksen
Overlay District to Mixed Use Town Center/Core
Overlay District.
WHEREAS, On September 1, 1994, by official action of the City Council through
adoption of Ordinance 94-21, the official City of Bainbridge Island comprehensive plan land use
map was adopted along with the City of Bainbridge comprehensive plan, and which has been
further amended by ordinances 96-04 and 98-11, and
WHEREAS, Dr. Haggar and Dr. Scribner submitted a Comprehensive Plan Amendment
application on June 24, 2004 to change the land use designation of their property, a 0.8 acre
parcel located at 187 Ericksen Avenue N (Tax parcel no. 262502-3-047-2004), from Mixed Use
Town Center/Ericksen Overlay District to Mixed Use Town Center/Core Overlay District, and
WHEREAS, Pursuant to Bainbridge Island Municipal Code Chapter 18.117, the
Planning Commission conducted a Phase-I Comprehensive Plan Amendment review on July 22,
2004, and held a Phase I Comprehensive Plan Amendment public hearing on August 12, 2004
and recommended Phase II review; and
WHEREAS, the City Council conducted a Phase-I Comprehensive Plan Amendment
review and on September 22,2004 recommended a Phase-II review; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission conducted a Phase-II review on October 28,
2004 and held a Phase II review public hearing on November 18, 2004 and recommended
approval; and
WHEREAS, the City Council conducted a Phase-II review and held a public hearing on

NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAINBRIDGE
ISLAND, WASHINGTON, DO ORDAIN, as follows:

Section 1. The land use designation of tax parcel 262502-3-047-2004 shall be changed from
Mixed Use Town Center/Ericksen Overlay District to Mixed Use Town Center/Core Overlay
District on the comprehensive plan land use map.
Section 2. This ordinance shall take effect on and be in force five days from and after its
passage, approval, and publication as required by law.
