ORD 2005-09 HHHS 5% RESERVE LEVELORDINANCE NO. 2005-09
AN ORDINANCE of the City of Bainbridge Island, Washington,
amending the 2005 Budget of the City (Ordinance 2004-22)
establishing a 5 % Reserve level for Health, Housing and Human
Services.
WHEREAS, on December 8, 2004, the City Council adopted the Budget for 2005 by
Ordinance 2004-22; and
WHEREAS, it is the intention of the City Council to establish reserve policies for
Community Services programs through its major providers; and
WHEREAS, it is the intention of the City Council to establish policy for its Community
Service programs similar to that of its City Departments whereby unspent budgetary
appropriations of each year revert to fund balance; now, therefore
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAINBRIDGE ISLAND, WASHINGTON,
DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Ordinance 2004-22 and the 2005 Budget are each amended to reflect a budgetary
amount for Health, Housing and Human Services of $487,141 which includes a 5% reserve,
using existing balances and $4,241 of City Council Contingency and eliminating all other
related reserves.
