RESOLUTION NO. 2005-24
A RESOLUTION of the City of Bainbridge Island, Washington,
approving the expansion of the City's sewer service area to include
Tax Lot Parcel Number 4143-000-026-0406, 4143-000-026-0307,
4143-000-024-0200, 4143-000-024-0101, 4143-000-024-
0002,4143-000-023-0102, 4143-000-027-0504, 4143-000-027-
0603, 4208-000-005-0007, 4208-000-004-0008, and 4208-000-
003-0009..
WHEREAS, Property Owner Martha Jackson, Lot 22 of Myers Replat, Dingley's First
Addition Subdivision requested City sewer service at the May 16, 2005 Public Works &
Transportation Committee meeting; and
WHEREAS, The Public Works & Transportation Committee noted that prior sewer
requests have been considered in connection with proposed property development where the
provision of sewer service rather than septic systems would cause less site disturbances and/or
tree removal; and
WHEREAS, The Public Works & Transportation Committee also noted that Byron
Drive is as far as gravity sewer service can be extended in that area and thus forms a natural
boundary for the City's sewer service area.
WHEREAS, The Public Works & Transportation Committee felt that it would be more
effective to address the issue of sewer service for lots fronting Byron Drive comprehensively
rather than piecemeal; and
WHEREAS, The Public Works & Transportation Committee recommended that the
sewer service area be modified to include all lots fronting on Byron Drive and placement on the
City Council Resolution agenda at the June 9, 2006 City Council meeting; and
WHEREAS, the Comprehensive Plan authorizes minor modifications to the Sewer
Service Area (Figure 2) per SSP 2.4; and
WHEREAS, this request meets SSP 2.4;

NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAINBRIDGE
ISLAND DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
1. That the City's existing sewer service area be modified to include Tax
Parcel Numbers 4143-000-026-0406, 4143-000-026-0307, 4143-000-024-
0200, 4143-000-024-0101, 4143-000-024-0002,4143-000-023-0102,
4143-000-027-0504, 4143-000-027-0603, 4208-000-005-0007, 4208-000-
004-0008, and 4208-000-003-0009..
PASSED by the City Council this 8th day of June, 2005.
APPROVED by this Mayor this 10th day of June, 2005.
