A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF BAINBRIDGE
ISLAND, WASHINGTON CHANGING THE FEES FOR
SOME OUTDOOR FIRE PERMITS, AND AMENDING
SECTION 9 OF THE BAINBRIDGE ISLAND FEE
SCHEDULE.
WHEREAS, the City Council determined in Ordinance 2000-27 that fees
for outdoor fires should be set by resolution; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has subsequently determined than many
outdoor fires are used as part of recommended organic agriculture practices in lieu of the
spraying of noxious chemicals; now, therefore,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAINBRIDGE ISLAND, WASHINGTON,
DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Section 8 of the Bainbridge Island Fee Schedule is amended to read as
follows:

The charges in this section are in addition to any applicable charges in other sections.

Building Permit fees using the actual contract cost of the installation of the fire alarm
system as the value.

All fires must comply with all applicable Washington State laws and regulations.
The property owner is responsible for payment of all permit fees.

Fires that do not comply with all City and State laws and regulations are subject to charges for all time and
equipment used by the City and / or the Bainbridge Island Fire Department to deal with the non -complying
fire. Time is charged at the Hourly Rate as established by Ordinance 99-47.

Section 2. This resolution shall be effective on and after June 1, 2001.
