RES 2001-28 FEES FOR OUTDOOR FIRE PERMITSRESOLUTION No. 2001-28 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF BAINBRIDGE ISLAND, WASHINGTON CHANGING THE FEES FOR SOME OUTDOOR FIRE PERMITS, AND AMENDING SECTION 9 OF THE BAINBRIDGE ISLAND FEE SCHEDULE. WHEREAS, the City Council determined in Ordinance 2000-27 that fees for outdoor fires should be set by resolution; and WHEREAS, the City Council has subsequently determined than many outdoor fires are used as part of recommended organic agriculture practices in lieu of the spraying of noxious chemicals; now, therefore, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAINBRIDGE ISLAND, WASHINGTON, DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Section 8 of the Bainbridge Island Fee Schedule is amended to read as follows: 8 FIIIF AND FIRE INSPECTION t �- (Ordinance 98-10, Resolutions 97-12 and 2000-33) The charges in this section are in addition to any applicable charges in other sections. FIRE ALARM SYSTEMS Pemtit and plan review fees shall be based on the fee schedule utilized for computing Building Permit fees using the actual contract cost of the installation of the fire alarm system as the value. Wood products 35.00 25.00 OUTDOOR BURNING PERMITS (Ordinance 2000-27, Resolution 2000-33) All fires must comply with all applicable Washington State laws and regulations. The property owner is responsible for payment of all permit fees. Agricultural fires: On land designated by the City or Kitsap County as agricultural land no charge All other locations $ iU.UU Fire fighting instructional fires 444-.00 no charge Recreational fires greater than three feet diameter 70.00 Recreational fires less than three feet diameter no permit required Storm or flood debris burning 70.00 (may be waived in time of emergency) Fires that do not comply with all City and State laws and regulations are subject to charges for all time and equipment used by the City and / or the Bainbridge Island Fire Department to deal with the non -complying fire. Time is charged at the Hourly Rate as established by Ordinance 99-47. ROUTINE (ANNUAL OR BIENNIAL) INSPECTIONS (Ordinance 98-10, Resolution 2000-33) Applies to Commercial, Manufacturing, and Multi -family uses as determined by the Uniform Fire Code. 35.00 per inspection Section 2.
