A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF BAINBRIDGE ISLAND,
WASHINGTON SETTING HOURLY RATES FOR LAND USE
DEVELOPMENT ACTIONS, AND AMENDING SECTION 9 OF
THE BAINBRIDGE ISLAND FEE SCHEDULE.
WHEREAS, the staff of the Current Planning Division has recommended that the
City charge hourly rates for all land use development actions; and
WHEREAS, the Team to Improve the Planning Permit Process, together with the
Directors of Planning & Community Development and Finance & Administrative
Services have joined in that recommendation; and
WHEREAS, the financial records of the City have shown that the hourly rate fees
authorized in this resolution do not exceed the amounts authorized by RCW82.02.020;
and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that charging hourly rates for all
land use actions is more equitable to all applicants; now, therefore,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAINBRIDGE ISLAND, WASHINGTON,
DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Section 9 of the Bainbridge Island Fee Schedule is amended to read as
follows:
9 BUE DING & PL.ANNiNG FEES

The charges in this section are in addition to any applicable charges in other sections.
For applications covered by the hourly rate, a deposit equal to twenty hours' charge shall be collected before the application
is accepted for all applications except administrative procedures, boundary line adjustments, conditional use permits, pre.
application conferences, SEPA reviews when an E.I.S. is not required, shoreline exemptions, two -lot short -plats, and
sign variances, in which case a deposit equal to ten hours' charge shall be collected or site visits and consultation in which
case a deposit equal to two hours' charge shall be collected. Any unspent amount from such a deposit shall be refunded to
the applicant within 60 days from the final action on the application. Amounts paid as fixed amount fees feeeppiieetiens

(Credits for payment before November 1, 1999 do not apply to Engineering Fees).
