RES 2003-32 LAND CLEARING PERMITS ADDED TO FEE SCHEDULERESOLUTION No. 2003-32 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF BAINBRIDGE ISLAND, WASHINGTON AMENDING SECTION 9 OF THE BAINBRIDGE ISLAND FEE SCHEDULE TO ADD LAND CLEARING PERMITS WHEREAS, the City Council has passed Ordinance 2003-16 adding a land clearing permit requirement; and WHEREAS, Ordinance 2003-16 provides that the fees required for a land clearing permit shall be set by resolution of the City Council; WHEREAS, the City Council has decided to not impose a fee at this time; now, therefore, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAINBRIDGE ISLAND, WASHINGTON, DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Section 9 of the City of Bainbridge Island Fee Schedule is amended to read as follows: 9. BUILDING & PLANNING FEES (Resolutions 99-26, 2000-33, 2001-43, and 2002-15 unless otherwise indicated) The charges in this section are in addition to any applicable charges in other sections. For applications covered by the hourly rate, a deposit equal to twenty hours' charge shall be collected before the application is accepted for all applications except administrative procedures, boundary line adjustments, conditional use permits, pre -application conferences, SEPA reviews when and E.I.S. is not required, shoreline exemptions, two -lot short - plats and sign variances, in which case a deposit equal to ten hours' charge shall be collected or site visits and consultation in which case no deposit shall be collected. Any unspent amount from such a deposit shall be refunded to the applicant within 60 days from the final action on the application. Amounts paid as fixed fees shall be treated as deposits against the subsequent rates with the provision that refunds of amounts paid as fixed amount fees shall not be made unless the requested permit is withdrawn by the applicant prior to any significant work being done on it.
