RES 2007-12 CITIES FEE SCHEDULE RELATED TO UTILITY & LIENRESOLUTION 2007-12
A RESOLUTION of the City of Bainbridge Island, Washington, adding
certain charges to the City's Fee Schedule related to special utility and lien
searches for escrow closings on properties in Bainbridge Island.
WHEREAS, the City of Bainbridge Island has been providing special utility and
lien searches for property closings; and
WHEREAS, this manual research process has been a special service for a portion
of properties each year; and
WHEREAS, this special service is similar in nature to providing individual
building permits or planning review; and
WHEREAS, the costs and fees have been evaluated and adopted by many
communities in the region; and
WHEREAS, RCW 82.02.020 authorizes the collection of reasonable fees to
cover the costs to the City for such activities; now, therefore
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Utility and lien search fees (Misc. Fees pg 39) shall be added to the Utility
Fees of Section 12 of the City of Bainbridge Island Fee Schedule as follows:

(Waived if no investigation required. These charges are in addition to the charges
in Section 12, if applicable).
Electronic Utility and lien search $25.00 flat fee
Manual Utility and lien search $25.00 $35.00 flat fee
If manual request received by City less than seven working days before transfer (This
charge does not duplicate the charge in section 12) $50.00 surcharge.
Section 2. This resolution shall take effect and be in force five (5) days after its
passage, approval and publication as provided by law.
