FOR USES NOT FORESEEN AT THE TIME THE 2009
BUDGET WAS ADOPTED,
WHEREAS, on December 10, 2008, the City Council adopted the budget for 2009 by
Ordinance 2008-30; and
WHEREAS, a number of situations have occurred during 2009 which required the City to
expend money on items, projects and categories not included in the 2009 Budget., now,
therefore,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAINBRIDGE ISLAND, WASHINGTON:,
DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
S ECTION 1. - Ordinance Zoo 8 - 3 o and , the 2009 budget are each amended as 'Shown on
the attached Exhibit A.
SECTION 2, The City's Finance Director is authorized and directed by this ordinance t
make the necessary changes to the -2009 Budget. The Finance Director is further directed
to make sufficient interfund equity transfers from the appropriate funds to cover the
added amounts authorized by this ordinance,
SECTION 3. The Finan -ca Director is authorized and directed to properly account for the
Building and Development Services activities of the City and to transfer such
expenditures as are appropriate under Generally Accepted Accounting Principles from
the General Fund to the Building and Development Services Fund and the SSWM Fund
provided that such transfers do not authorize ars increase in expenditures.
SECTION 4. The 2009 Budget appropriations shall be reduced by all amounts carried
over from 2009 into 2010 (which are not included in Exhibit A,
SECTION 5. A copy of this ordinance shall be transmitted to the Division of Municipal
Corporations in the Office of the Washington State Auditor and to the Association Of
Washington Cities,
SECTION . This ordinance shall take effect and be in force five days- from and after its
passage, approval and publication -as required by- law.
