~.~A, the Washington State Auditor's officerequires that the amounts and limits
,of petty cash funds be established b~ ordinance or resolution; and

I~~IA, the establishment of petty cash funds, their arr~ounts and the n~a~in~um limit
for reirrrburerr~ent need to be changed from time to tirrie; and
~~1~, ordinance No, 9317 did not made adequate provisions for the need to
mare small e~pendlture relrr~burserrient at the police Station; nom, therefore,

amended to read as follows:

the A Finance ~epartn~ent petty cash fund shall be established in the amount of
$~~.~~, and a Pollee I]e~artment ~ett~ cash fund shall he established 1n the
amount of ~~o.oo. ~e No reimbursement shall exceed ~~ 40,00,
Personal cash advances shall not he made from the petty cash fund. ~n addition, a
change fund in the amount of $100,0o shall be rriaintained for each person mho
shall regularly sere as cashier and be required to male change and a separate
such fund shalt be maintained for those persons serving as bacl~up cashier.
Section 2. This ordinance shall tale effect and be in force five ~} dais after its
passage, approval and publication as pro~lded b lam.
