to parking for employees of local merchants and ae~ading Section
1 a.~8.~57 of the Bainbridge Island Municipal bode,
HEREA, the City has established an ernplayee parking prograrri that allays
businesses and property owners in the 1Vli~ed Use Ta~vn Center district in the City to
obtain parking permits from the City that authorise employees to park in City-a~rned
Parking lots ar spaces an public streets that are designated for erriplayee parking, sa that
other public parking spaces on insla~v 'Lay and nearby streets are available to
customers ofbusinsses in the area; and
HEItEA, the City has determined that it 1s ii1 the best Interest of the City to
contract with ~n outside entity, such as the Bainbridge Island Chamber of ammeree, to
administer the employee parking program; and
WHEREAS, the City has determined that the appropriate fee far e~nplayee
parking permits issued under this program, and the adrninistrati~e isles and procedures,
should be established from tine to time through an agreement betv~een the City and the
designated agency,

parking perrr~it shall comply with the fallowing;
1, persons using an employee parl~ing permit shall properly display a
current, valid employee parl~ing permit in the lo~rer left side of the

enr~ployee parking areas only.
3, Persons using an employee parking permit shall not park in an

the part~c~patln buslness or property at the tlme~
4~ Persons using an employee parking perrr~it shall not parr in an
n~pl~yee parking designated area hlle tra~alln outside of the city,
unless the travel is arl~-related, and tl~e orl~ originates from and
concludes at the participating business or property within a ~-Maur

~, Individual ernployees sha11 not transfer an employee parl~in permit to
another person. Participating comrercial property owners or businesses
may transfer an employee parking permit frorr~ one employee to another.
~, All persons assigned an employee parking perrrzit shall acl~no~rledge
receipt of the erriployee parking regulations and a pity-a~~r.~ neap
depicting the employee parking areas, agree to review pasted employee
parking regulations at least inanthly, and comply with any ternparary rules
and regulations pasted by the city, the ~e~ignated agency or the
participating business or property aver.
