ORD 2011-12 AUTHORIZE CITY MANAGER TO ACCEPT AND CLOSE OUT PUBLIC WORKS PROJECTSORDINANCE N0.2011-12
AN ORDINANCE of the City of Bainbridge Island, Washington, relating to public
works procedures and amending Section 3.72 of the Bainbridge Island Municipal
Code to authorize the City Manager to accept and close-out public works projects.
WHEREAS, pursuant to Ordinance No. 2010-36, the City Council authorized the City
Manager to accept and close-out limited public works projects;
WHEREAS, the City Council also wishes to authorize the City Manager to accept and
close-out public works projects generally; now, therefore,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAINBRIDGE ISLAND,
WASHINGTON, DOES ORDAIN, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Anew section 3.72.140 of the Bainbridge Island Municipal Code is added as
follows:
3.72.140 Public works -Acceptance of Work
At the completion of contracted public works projects, as confirmed by the public
works director or designee, the city manager is authorized to accept said work.
Section 2. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force five (5) days after its
passage, approval and publication as provided by law.
