A RESOLUTION of the Bainbridge Island Transportation
Benefit District establishing a meeting schedule, appointing a
chair, and establishing the authority of the chair of the
Bainbridge Island Transportation Benefit District.
WHEREAS, the Bainbridge Island Transportation Benefit District (the
"District ") was established on August 22, 2012 pursuant to City of Bainbridge Island
Ordinance No. 2012 -14; and
WHEREAS, the District desires to establish a regular meeting schedule, appoint
a chair of the Board and establish the chair's duties; now, therefore,
THE BAINBRIDGE ISLAND TRANSPORTATION BENEFIT DISTRICT DOES
RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS.
Section 1. The District shall conduct quarterly meetings following the regularly
scheduled City Council meeting on the second Wednesday of March, June, September
and December.
Section 2. The District hereby appoints Board member Debbi Lester to serve as
chair of the District through the regularly scheduled meeting for December 2013.
Thereafter, the chair will be appointed annually each year by the Board from among its
members at the regular meeting scheduled for December of each year.
Section 3. The chair shall serve as the ceremonial head of the District and shall
preside over all Board meetings. On matters decided by the District, the signature of the
chair alone is sufficient to bind the District. The chair along with the Clerk of the City of
Bainbridge Island shall be the District's registered agents for purposes of service of
process.
PASSED by the Bainbridge Island Transportation Benefit District this 10`x' day of
