RES 2013-21 ISSUE OF SUBLEASES TO TENANTS IN THE OPEN WATER MARINARESOLUTION NO. 2013-21
A RESOLUTION of the City Council of Bainbridge Island,
Washington, authorizing the City Manager to issue subleases
to tenants in the Open Water Marina.
WHEREAS, the City operates a 100% residential Open Water Marina in Eagle
Harbor under a lease with the Department of Natural Resources; and
WHEREAS, the Open Water Marina was implemented in 2011 and currently
includes 8 tenants; and
WHEREAS, the Open Water Marina has been approved by the Department of
Ecology for up to 16 tenants; and
WHEREAS, the annual leases are scheduled for renewal January 1, 2014; and
WHEREAS, the City may need to issue additional leases from time -to -time;
now, therefore,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF OF BAINBRIDGE ISLAND DOES
RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to negotiate and issue subleases
consistent with the terms of the lease with the Department of Natural Resources for the
Open Water Marina to tenants without further review and approval by City Council.
