ORD NO. 2014-12 BUDGET CARRYOVERS INTO 2014ORDINANCE NO. 2014-12 AN ORDINANCE of the City of Bainbridge Island, Washington amending the 2014 Budget of the City to include carryover items for work funded in 2013 but to be performed in 2014. WHEREAS, on December 12, 2012, the City Council adopted the budget for 2013 and 2014; and WHEREAS, on December 11, 2013, the City Council adopted Ordinance No. 2013 -07, adopting mid - biennium modifications to the 2014 Budget; and WHEREAS, funding for certain items was approved in the 2013 budget but not spent, and these funds now need to be carried over into the 2014 budget for work to be completed in 2014; and THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAINBRIDGE ISLAND, WASHINGTON, DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Ordinance No. 2013 -07 and the 2014 budget are each amended as shown on the attached Exhibit A. Section 2. The City's Finance Director is authorized and directed by this ordinance to make the necessary changes to the 2014 Budget. The Finance Director is further directed to make sufficient interfund equity transfers from the appropriate funds to cover the added amounts authorized by this ordinance. Section 3. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force five days from and after its passage, approval and publication as required by law. PASSED by the City Council this 24th day of March, 2014. Public Works Waterfront Park Bridge Repair General $32,000 This item provided appropriation authority to repair the Waterfront Park Bridge that was closed due to safety concerns in September 2014. Due to contractor delay in material fabrication for the project, much of the work that was planned for in December 2013 was rescheduled for early 2014.
