RES 2001-14 EARTHQUAKE DISASTER ASSISTANCE FUNDSRESOLUTION NO. 2001-14
A RESOLUTION of the City of Bainbridge Island, Washington,
designating an authorized representative and alternate to obtain
federal and/or state emergency or disaster assistance funds.
WHEREAS, at 10:55 AM on February 28, 2001, a 6.8 magnitude
earthquake struck the Puget Sound area including Bainbridge Island; and
WHEREAS, Governor Gary Locke and the Kitsap County Commissioners
proclaimed a state of emergency; and
WHEREAS, adoption of this resolution is in the best interest of the
citizens of the City of Bainbridge Island, Washington; now, therefore
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Bainbridge Island,
Washington, that Randy Witt, Public Works Director, is hereby designated the
authorized representative, and Kathleen McKnight, Systems Analyst, is
designated the alternate, for and in behalf of the City of Bainbridge Island, a
pt] blic agency established under the laws of the State of Washington.
The purpose of this designation as the authorized representative is to obtain
federal and/or state emergency or disaster assistance funds. This representative
is Authorized on behalf of the City of Bainbridge Island to execute all contracts,
certify completion of projects, request payments, and prepare all required
documentation for funding requirements.
