ORD NO. 2016-12 REPEALING BIMC 3.70 AND 3.72ORDINANCE NO. 2016-12
AN ORDINANCE of the City of Bainbridge Island, Washington, relating
to contracts, purchasing and public works procedures and repealing
Sections 3.70 and 3.72 of the Bainbridge Island Municipal Code (BIMC)
in their entirety.
WHEREAS, at the January 5, 2016 City Council meeting, Council recommended
that the City adopt a comprehensive procurement policy that would cover all aspects of
purchasing and contracting to replace the existing BIMC Chapters 3.70 and 3.72;
WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 2016-15, Council has adopted a
comprehensive procurement policy; now, therefore,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAINBRIDGE ISLAND,
WASHINGTON, DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Section 3.70 of the Bainbridge Island Municipal Code, Contracts for Services
Other than Public Works, is hereby repealed in its entirety.
Section 2. Section 3.72 of the Bainbridge Island Municipal Code, Purchasing and Public
Works Procedures, is hereby repealed in its entirety.
Section 3. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force five (5) days from its passage,
approval, and publication as required by law.
