RES NO. 2018-12 APPROVING 2018 FEE SCHEDULE DOCK UTILITY SD7 CASEY STREET WATER FEESRESOLUTION NO. 2018-12
A RESOLUTION of the City Council of Bainbridge Island,
Washington, amending the 2018 Fee Schedule to update fees
charged by Kitsap County Sewer District No. 7, to reflect
ownership of the Casey Street water system, and to add fees
relating to use of buoys in Eagle Harbor and utilities at the City
Dock.
WHEREAS, the City of Bainbridge Island periodically updates the Fee Schedule
to reflect City Council actions and the actual cost to the City of various services in
accordance with state law; and
WHEREAS, the City charges customers within the South Island Sewer Area who
are served by Kitsap County Sewer District No. 7 the fees established by the Kitsap
County Sewer District No. 7 Board of Commissioners; and
WHEREAS, the Kitsap County Sewer District No. 7 Board of Commissioners
increased those fees; and
WHEREAS, the City will assume ownership of the Casey Street Water System
and will charge those customers the same fees as customers in the Winslow -Area Water
System; and
WHEREAS, the City is replacing the linear moorage system in Eagle Harbor with
individual buoys and will charge a fee to cover the costs of providing and maintaining
such buoys in Eagle Harbor; and
WHEREAS, the City has increased the services available at the City Dock to
include electricity and will charge a fee to cover the costs of providing the electricity; and
WHEREAS, on January 23, 2018, the City Council passed Resolution No. 2018-
01, adopting the 2018 Fee Schedule.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAINBRIDGE
ISLAND DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:

Section 1. Section 11, Utility Fees, of the City's 2018 Fee Schedule is amended as
follows:
SEWER RATES FOR CUSTOMERS SERVED BY THE SEWER DISTRICT
NO. 7 TREATMENT PLANT
(Ordinance No. 2009-39. Resolution 2018-12
Property that contributes sewage to the Kitsap County Sewer District No. 7
Treatment Plant shall pay a monthly rate equal to the monthly rate applied to the
City by Kitsap County Sewer District No. 7 per ERU (presently $56--.W58.71) for
treatment plus:
Properties with Grinder Pumps $23.59 per ERU
Properties without Grinder Pumps $19.42 per ERU
Section 2. Section 11, Utility Fees, of the City's 2018 Fee Schedule is amended as
follows:

Section 3. Section 12, Miscellaneous Fees, of the City's 2018 Fee Schedule is
amended as follows:

Section 5. A new fee is added to Section 12, Miscellaneous Fees, of the City's
